How to Participate

New Freshmen in the Class of 2013: Fall 2009 Semester Kick It! has ended.  New Kick It! activities will be available the first four weeks of Spring Semester.

It is easy to participate in Kick It!:

  1. Log onto myu.umn.edu.
  2. Click the Kick It! feature.
  3. Complete some or all of the activities listed.
  4. Submit your tickets by entering the correct answer next to as many of the corresponding tickets as you would like and click submit when you are finished.

Be sure to check back each week during Kick It! to find new activities and better your chances of winning!

Kick It! activities may be website searches, events, visits to campus offices, or questions asking for your response.  Here are a few examples from previous semesters:

Beautiful U Day
On Beautiful U Day in April 2008, how many compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs were given away? If each of these bulbs replaced an old incandescent bulb, then how many pounds of CO2 emission were estimated to be reduced in one year? Go to the following website: www.buday.umn.edu.
GLBTA Student Leadership Retreat
The 3rd Annual GLBTA Student Leadership Retreat, a free program open to all U of M students, is scheduled for Sept 19-21, 2008. Where will it be held? Go to the following link: www.glbta.umn.edu.
Campus Computer Labs
Visit the OIT website and find the location of four computer labs on campus that are convenient for you to use. Visit the following website for the answer: http://1help.umn.edu/computerfacs/.

Remember the more Kick It! tickets you complete, the greater your chances of winning!
