Welcome Week: September 2-7, 2009

Northrop AuditoriumIf you will be a new freshman Fall 2009, your college experience will begin with Welcome Week, starting on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Welcome Week is an on-campus program designed to complement your orientation experience, provide opportunities to enhance your academic and personal success, and give you an edge in starting college.

At Welcome Week you will…

  • make friends with others in the Class of 2013 and learn what it means to be a Golden Gopher
  • learn to navigate campus and the diverse Twin Cities community prior to starting classes
  • meet with college representatives to learn what to expect in your classes and how to succeed academically
  • meet people who will introduce you to resources that are important to making campus your new home
  • get better acquainted with student leaders who will guide you through the week

By the end of Welcome Week you will be ready to begin your first semester with all the tools needed to make the University of Minnesota your own.

We look forward to seeing you on September 2, 2009!

*The move-in date of September 2, 2009 is for freshman residence hall students only.
