Your U Card
Before school starts, it is important to obtain your U Card, the University of Minnesota’s official student identification card. You will need your U Card to access services, such as library book checkout and the recreation center.
Go to the U Card Office at Orientation with a valid photo ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport) to have your picture taken and receive your U Card.
Please note: If you previously attended another U of M campus, you will need a new U Card. The U Card you were issued at the other campus will be your U Card on the Twin Cities campus. When getting your new U Card, please bring your old U Card with you.
