@Home in Minnesota is a program through Orientation & First-Year Programs focused on assisting out-of-state students in their transition to Minnesota and the U of M. Throughout the academic year, @Home in Minnesota organizes a variety of events and workshops to connect first-year students with resources and introduce them to Minnesota traditions.
@Home in Minnesota is kicking off the school year by providing free tickets to the Minnesota State Fair!
The Minnesota State Fair is considered "The Great Minnesota Get-Together" and features a variety of attractions, entertainment, and food. You can find everything from carnival rides and live music, to art galleries, animal exhibits, and even deep-fried candy bars on a stick!
As an out-of-state and first-year student, you indicated on your Welcome Week Event Selection an interest in attending the Minnesota State Fair.

Orientation & First-Year Programs only has a limited number of State Fair tickets. They will be handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis on Monday, September 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the President's Room on the third floor of Coffman Memorial Union.
Bailey Hall residents can pick up ticket(s) at the Bailey Hall front desk.
You (and your guest) must show your U Card as identification when picking up tickets.
There is a free shuttle from East Bank to the fairgrounds, which is near the St. Paul campus.
