Plan for your arrival at Orientation
For directions and parking information, go to www.ofyp.umn.edu/directions.

Due to multiple construction projects on and around campus, please follow the directions listed on the above Website. DO NOT USE GPS DIRECTIONS, as these routes will be incorrect. Please allow an extra 20 minutes for getting to campus, as traffic congestion around campus will be significant.

After parking in the East River Road Garage, and take the elevator to Level 1/Plaza Level. Then follow the signs to Coffman Union’s ground floor for Orientation Check-In.

Overnight Accommodations
Students who attend Orientation on August 26-27 AND who have a Fall 2013 on-campus housing contract have the opportunity to move in early on Sunday, August 25, but you must make prior arrangements Housing & Residential Life (HRL). To complete an Early Move-In Request, click here. Students who choose this option will be billed $44 (for Sunday and Monday nights at $22 per night) directly to their student account.
Otherwise there will be no overnight accommodations for this Orientation program.

Check-In begins at 7:45 a.m.
Orientation & First-Year Programs works closely with International Student Scholar Services to provide you one orientation program. Please note that you are required to check-in for this orientation between 7:45-8:20 a.m. on the ground floor of Coffman Union. Are your parents/family registered for Orientation?
Will a parent or family member accompany you to Orientation? If so, they are encouraged to register in advance for the Parent Orientation program. For more information and registration, go to: www.ofyp.umn.edu/fyparentregistration.

You are assigned to check-in for Welcome Week on Tuesday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m. If you miss the 8:00 p.m. assigned time, please visit www.ofyp.umn.edu/wwcheckin for additional times you may check-in. Make sure you have your U Card before coming to Welcome Week Check-In.
