What is New Student Orientation?

New Student Orientation is a required two-day overnight program scheduled sometime between June 11 and July 19. Orientation is required of every new student coming to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. August dates are available for International Students.

Planning for Your Orientation NewsletterDuring Orientation, you will be placed into a small group with an Orientation Leader who will lead you through your Day 1 activities. You will learn about campus resources, meet with your college of enrollment and prepare for course registration. All students will spend the night i3n Comstock Hall to experience a residence hall firsthand. On Day 2, you will register for your fall semester classes. For more information about planning for your orientation, look for our newsletter arriving in your mail soon!
