(please load images) Welcome Class of 2021 email header

Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Minnesota! You’re now a member of the Class of 2021! Although Orientation is not until summer, we want to make sure that you are prepared for it and that you keep up with all deadlines and expectations from the University.

Your New Student Checklist & Orientation

Starting April 5 you will be able to access your New Student Checklist. It will allow you to complete the Tell Us About Yourself survey, select an orientation date, and begin placement testing. It will also list any other college-specific tasks to prepare you for orientation and the start of the academic year. You will receive an Orientation and Next Steps mailer with more details before April 5.

Orientation is a two-day program required of all new students. You will learn about University resources, experience a night in a residence hall (required), meet with an academic advisor, and register for fall classes.
