The Transfer Student Ambassadors and I really enjoyed connecting with you during your Transfer Orientation program. Now that you have completed your Orientation experience, we want to share with you some additional initiatives that can help you through your transition to the University.
Transfer Student Network
You may have heard about Transfer Student Network (TSN) at Orientation. This peer-to-peer program pairs you with a TSN Mentor (a current transfer student) during your first semester on campus. Your TSN Mentor can be a go-to person to help you adjust to your new home. TSN also offers social gatherings, workshops, and discussions about the transition process to the U.
Interested in signing up? Tell us about yourself here so we can match you with a Peer Guide!
Also, mark your calendar for our Kickoff event Sunday, Sept. 13 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in Goldy's Gameroom (located in the basement level of Coffman Memorial Union). This event will give you the opportunity to connect with the TSN Mentors and other new transfer students while enjoying free bowling and games!
Leadership Class: Finding You at the U!
The Leadership Minor is extending an invitation to all transfer students to take Personal Leadership in the University (PA 1961W/OLDP 1301W) for this Fall semester. This course fulfills a writing intensive requirement, allows you to build community with a small group of peers, and helps you understand your own personal leadership. Check out this short video to hear from students about their experience in the course and learn more about the many benefits of this class.
Make the most of your time at the U by engaging with these initiatives and more.
