University of Minnesota Driven to Discover
 Transfer student header

Let's Talk.

%%first name%%: It's your time!

Your story is important – and we want you to share it. You already know that transfer students face many issues including dealing with changes in a major or career path, finding and securing jobs while in school, commuting, and maintaining mental health.

A new program called TransferTalk will help bring awareness to these issues. We are looking for students, alumni, faculty, or anyone who has transferred into the University of Minnesota to share their stories with new transfer students.

We will have four speakers at this event, and then small group discussions to ask transfer students how they're really doing. We invite you to apply to be a speaker.

The event will take place Saturday, September 2, 2017 in The Whole, in Coffman Memorial Union. There will be four speaker timeslots, from 7:00 - 7:20 p.m., with socializing and small group discussions from 7:20 - 8:00 p.m.

Fill out this google form if you would like to apply to be a speaker.

We hope you'll consider helping students settle into the Univeristy. Discuss the challenges you've overcome and your accomplishments, grab some food, then help lead a small group discussion.

Sincerely,

Stephanie Ryan signature
