Let's Talk

%%first name%%: It's your time transfer student.

Your story is important. Mental health, struggles commuting, unexpected changes in your career or major path, finding and securing jobs while in school, as well as many other things are issues that transfer students face. TransferTalk, an event launching September 2nd, is an opportunity to share your own story with new transfer students. These students will face the same challenges, and we want them to know they're not alone.

Are you interested in sharing your story with incoming transfer students? We're launching a new program called TransferTalk. We want current transfer students, alumni, faculty, or anyone else who has experienced transferring into the Univeristy of Minnesota to have a platform to share their story with new transfer students.

Are you ready to help bring awarenss to these issues , and learn about the stories of other transfer students? Fill out this google form to have the opportunity to share your transfer story at this year's Transfer Welcome Days. You'll be able to help students settle into the University, discuss the accomplishments and hardships you've face, grab some food, and help the facilitated discussion that will take place after.

We will have four speakers at this event, and then small group discussions to ask transfer students how they're really doing. We invite you to join us.

The event will take place Saturday, Septemebr 2nd, 2017 in The Whole, in Coffman Memorial Union. There will be four speakers timeslots, from 7:00pm - 7:20pm, with socializing and small group discussions from 7:20pm - 8:00pm.
