Arriving at Orientation
For directions and parking information, go to www.ofyp.umn.edu/directions.
Due to multiple construction projects on and around campus, please follow the directions listed on the above Website. DO NOT USE GPS DIRECTIONS, as these routes will be incorrect.
After parking in the East River Road Garage, gather your luggage and take the elevator to Level 1/Plaza Level. Then follow the signs to the Ground Floor of Coffman Union for Orientation check-in.
8:00 - 8:40 a.m. - Check-in, Continental Breakfast and Resource Fair
8:45 a.m. - University Welcome
9:15 a.m. - College Meeting, Advising & Registration
1:15 p.m. - Campus Tour (Optional)
2:15 p.m. - One Stop Student Services
2:55 p.m. - Mini Workshops
3:45 p.m. - Check-out
It's not too late to complete Online Orientation!
Students who complete the Online Orientation are free to leave following the College Meeting, Advising and Registration. To complete Online Orientation, go to onlineorientation.umn.edu.
Will a parent or guest accompany you to Orientation? If so, parents and guests are encouraged to register in advance for the Parent Orientation program. For more information and registration, click here!
What to Bring
- University Internet ID and memorized password
- Name of health insurance company and policy number (you may purchase University insurance instead)
- $6.00 per day for parking
- Photo ID for U Card
- Certificate of Online Orientation completion (if applicable)
- Backpack for your materials
- Notebook and pen or pencil
- Comfortable clothing and shoes
- Umbrella in case of rain
