Get Ready for Transfer Orientation!

We are excited to see you at Transfer Student Orientation! Below you will find important information for your orientation.

Arriving at Orientation
For directions and parking information, go to www.ofyp.umn.edu/directions. Please follow the directions listed on the above website. DO NOT USE GPS DIRECTIONS, as these routes will be incorrect.

After parking in the East River Road Garage, take the elevator to Level 1/Plaza Level. Then follow the signs to Coffman Union's ground floor for Orientation check-in.

Orientation Schedule

8:00-8:40 a.m.

Check-in and Resource Fair
(financial aid counseling is also available during this time)

8:40 a.m. University Welcome
9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
(times vary)
College Meeting, Advising, and Registration
11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
(times vary)
Eat lunch with a Transfer Student Ambassador
12:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. Campus Tour (optional)

It's not too late to complete Online Orientation!
All students are required to participate in Online Orientation prior to your on-campus orientation program. If you have not completed Online Orientation, please do so before you arrive on campus.

Parent Orientation
Will a parent or guest accompany you to Orientation? If so, parents and guests are encouraged to register in advance for the Parent Orientation program. For more information and registration, click here!

What to Bring

  • University Internet ID and memorized password
  • Name of health insurance company and policy number (you may purchase University insurance instead)
  • $6.00 per day for parking
  • Photo ID for U Card
  • Notebook and pen or pencil
  • Appropriate clothing for walking across campus
