Get Ready for Transfer Orientation!
We are excited you will be at Transfer Student Orientation! Below you will will find important related information.
Online Orientation is Required
Transfer students are required to complete Online Orientation prior to attending the on-campus orientation program. Students who attend Orientation without completing Online Orientation may not be able to register for classes until they do so. If you have not completed Online Orientation, please complete it before you arrive on campus for Orientation. Be sure to print the Certificate of Online Orientation verification page and bring it with you when you check in for Transfer Orientation.
Arriving at Orientation
Check-In for Transfer Orientation is located on the ground floor of Coffman Memorial Union. For directions and parking information, go to www.ofyp.umn.edu/directions.
Due to multiple construction projects on and around campus, please follow the directions listed on the above website. DO NOT USE GPS DIRECTIONS, as these routes will be incorrect. Please allow an extra 20 minutes to get to campus, as traffic congestion around campus will be significant.
After parking in the East River Road Garage, take the elevator to Level 1/Plaza Level. Then follow the signs to Coffman Union's ground floor for Orientation check-in.

Will a parent or guest accompany you to Orientation? If so, parents and guests are encouraged to register in advance for the Parent Orientation program. For more information and registration, click here!

Register for Transfer Welcome Days!
Transfer Welcome Days are the official welcome for new transfer students. Although these events are not required for transfer students, it is an excellent opportunity to start settling in at the U. During Welcome Days, you will mingle with other transfer students, meet professional staff, learn about campus resources and student organizations, and get answers to last-minute questions. You will also meet the University mascot, Goldy Gopher, and receive a free U of M T-shirt.
