Are you ready to set your New Student Orientation date?
Start your New Student Checklist: Log-on to myu.umn.edu and look under the my COLLEGE tab.
You will need to complete the Pre-Orientation survey, select your orientation date, complete Online Orientation and any other requirements your college has outlined. Below are more details regarding Online Orientation and the on-campus Transfer Orientation program.
STEP 1: Complete the required Online Orientation
The goal of Online Orientation is to provide you with valuable information about your college of enrollment and about University resources and services. Your adviser will reference the information you learn in the Online Orientation when you register for classes. You are required to complete this step before you arrive, some colleges do not allow students to register for classes until they have done so.

STEP 2: Attend an on-campus Transfer Orientation program
At Transfer Orientation you will meet with your college adviser, register for Spring courses, and get your official U of M photo I.D. card. You will also have an opportunity to tour the campus and meet with representatives from a variety of departments to get answers to any questions you might have before classes start.
DID YOU PASS THE ONLINE ORIENTATION QUIZ?
This requirement is fulfilled when you pass the Online Orientation quiz with a score of 8 or above. Be sure to print the Certificate of Online Orientation verification page and bring it with you to Transfer Orientation. You will have two opportunities to take the quiz. If you do not receive a passing score after your second attempt, please call 612-624-1979 or email email@example.com to have your quiz score reset so that you can try again.
If you have any questions, please contact Orientation & First Year Programs at 612-624-1979 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit our website at www.ofyp.umn.edu.
