Select your New Student Orientation date!

%%First Name%%: It's time to start your New Student Checklist! Complete the Tell Us About Yourself survey and then select your orientation date. Below are the steps detailing your Online Orientation and on-campus Transfer Orientation requirements.

STEP 1: Complete Online Orientation

The goal of Online Orientation is to provide you with valuable information about your college of enrollment and about University resources and services. Your advisor will reference the information you learn in the Online Orientation when you register for classes, so it is important that you complete this step before you arrive.

Transfer students are required to complete Online Orientation before arriving for Transfer Orientation, and some colleges do not allow students to register for classes until they have done so. If you have not completed Online Orientation, please complete it before your on-campus program. Be sure to print the Online Orientation Course Completion Certificate and bring it with you to Transfer Orientation.

STEP 2: Attend an on-campus Transfer Orientation program

At Transfer Orientation you will meet with your college advisor, register for courses, and get your official U of M photo ID card. You will also have an opportunity to tour the campus and meet with representatives from a variety of departments to get answers to any questions you might have before classes start. You will receive an email a few days before your registered orientation date that indludes logistical information for your program.

PARENT ORIENTATION
Will a parent or guest accompany you to Orientation? If so, parents and guests are encouraged to participate in our Parent Orientation program. For more information and registration, visit here!

LEADERSHIP CLASS: FINDING YOU AT THE U!
The Leadership Minor is extending an invitation to all transfer students to take Personal Leadership in the University (LEAD 1961W/OLDP 1301W) this Spring semester. Check out this short video to hear from students about their experience in the course and learn more about the many benefits of this class. Additionally, the Leadership Minor is offering a section of this course for new spring 2017 transfer students only.
