Get Ready for Transfer Welcome Days!

Thank you for registering for the Transfer Welcome Days program! Below is some information to help you navigate through the next few days.

Where should I park?

Thursday: If you are driving to the tailgate or game, you must park in the East River Road Garage and pay the special event rate of $10. For information about free shuttle buses, click here.

Friday: If you are driving to campus, you must park in the East River Road Garage and pay the standard $3 per hour rate. To receive the special night owl rate of $6 total, you must park in the garage after 5:00 p.m. and leave before 7:00 a.m. For detailed information about parking rates, click here.

Saturday & Sunday: If you are driving to campus you must park in the East River Road Garage and pay the weekend rate of $6 for the entire day. For detailed information about parking rates, click here.

Where will we meet?

Thursday: The meet-up is located in the Victory Parking Lot, on the corner of 23rd Avenue S.E. and 6th Street S.E. The entrance to the lot is located on 6th ST S.E. If you are planning to go straight to the game, you will need to enter at the Lincoln entrance. U Card is required for entrance to both events.

Friday: Check-In for the Kickoff is located in the Coffman Theater Annex on the first floor of Coffman Memorial Union. All events for Friday will take place in CMU.

Saturday & Sunday: These events are self-guided. Feel free to stop in and attend any available events. U Card is required for entrance to all events.

Transfer student T-shirtWhat should I bring?

The only required item you should bring to all events is your U Card. At check-in on Friday you will receive a water bottle and a U of M T-shirt.

General Information

Football Game Disclaimer
There are some items you are not allowed to bring into the football stadium, including outside food and beverages. Please carefully read the responses to these frequently asked questions for more information. Once you enter the stadium you will be allowed to fill your waterbottle.

Parents and Guests
All Transfer Welcome Days events are exclusively for new transfer students enrolling fall semester 2014. We are not able to accommodate guests at any OFYP-sponsored events, however your guests are welcomed to purchase tickets to the football game. Click here for more information.
