Tomorrow is the official Kickoff of Transfer Welcome Days! All sessions will depart from the Great Hall in Coffman Memorial Union. Please remember to bring your U Card!


12:00 - 4:00 p.m. College of Science & Engineering (CSE)
First Floor, Lind Hall
Join CSE faculty, staff, and current CSE transfer students to kickoff the academic year! Learn more about the CSE Career Fair, hear from the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, and get answers to last-minute questions before the start of classes. Students will have an opportunity to connect with faculty from academic departments during lunch. Computers will be available to set-up your GoldPASS account in preparation for the career fair, which is held the third week of classes.
1:00 - 3:45 p.m. College of Biological Sciences (CBS)
412 Bruininks Hall
At this event, hosted by the College of Biological Sciences, CBS transfer students will have the opportunity to meet and talk with current and past CBS transfer students, connect with faculty to learn about conducting research at the University, and discover key campus resources to launch a successful career in CBS and at the University of Minnesota. Light snacks will be provided.
2:00 - 4:00 p.m. College of Liberal Arts (CLA)
312 Bruininks Hall
The College of Liberal Arts welcomes new transfer students! This is a chance to meet CLA students and staff, and learn about exciting possibilities for transfer students in CLA! Panelists will talk about student groups, mentoring, research, learning, and career support unique to the College of Liberal Arts. Students registered for CLA 3001 will have an in-person orientation to the class and meet their student leaders. Light refreshments served, and the first 300 CLA students to check in at our welcome event will receive a free T-shirt!
3:45 – 4:45 p.m. Check-In
Great Hall Annex, Coffman Union
You’re invited to officially check-in to the Transfer Welcome Days Program! You’ll also receive a free t-shirt, water bottle, and a chance to win a mini-fridge and a year supply of SmartWater through Coca-Cola! *U Card Required Event
4:45 - 5:30 p.m.

TWD Kickoff
Great Hall, Coffman Union
The official start to Transfer Welcome Days! You’ll learn what life is like at the U and make connections with new and current transfer students.

5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Tour de TSA: Personal Tours of Campus
Departs from Great Hall, Coffman Memorial Union
Follow your favorite TSA on their personal tour of campus and listen to the stories of what made each place significant for them. Hear about their transition and how they were successful during their first year at the U! Oh, and enjoy a free dinner at one of their favorite local restaurants!
8:30 - 10:00 p.m. TWD Hangout
Goldy's Gameroom, Basement, Coffman Memorial Union
Stop by and hang out with new and current transfer students! Go bowling, play games, and enjoy some hot and delicious Insomnia cookies.
10 p.m. - 1 a.m. Student Unions & Activities Showcase
Coffman Memorial Union
Conclude the evening at the Student Unions & Activities Showcase and take part in a dance party, hypnotist, concert, movie screening, games, prizes, free food, and so much more!

Parking is available behind Coffman Memorial Union, in the East River Road Garage at an hourly rate. Take the elevator to Level 1/Plaza Level. Northrop Auditorium is located on the opposite side of the mall from Coffman Union.
