Volunteer for Welcome Week!
Staff and faculty volunteers are needed to assist with several elements of the Welcome Week 2014 program. Join us in making the University of Minnesota a warm and friendly place for new students. A few hours of your time could have a tremendous impact.
- Residence Hall Move-In (Aug. 25-26)
Greet students and parents, guard belongings, and help with traffic flow.
- Parent Receptions (Aug. 25-26)
Have you sent a student off to college recently? Volunteer at Parent Receptions and talk with parents who are moving their students to campus. Address parents' anxieties and celebrate their student's success.
- New Student Convocation (Aug. 28)
This campus tradition kicks off the first morning of Welcome Week. We need greeters, direction providers, tassel distributors, and sign holders.
- Class of 2018 Cookout (Aug. 29)
We need recycling/compost assistance, direction providers, and greeters.
