Welcome Week for Faculty & Staff

As faculty or staff member you too will benefit from students participating in Welcome Week and can play an integral role in this new initiative that will welcome new students to campus and assist in their personal and academic success. Welcome Week will allow students to do the following before classes even begin:

  • Begin to build a sense of community
  • Assist students in their adjustment to the campus environment and enhance the capacity of students to lead and work among diverse populations
  • Develop meaningful relationships with students, faculty, staff and surrounding community
  • Learn about resources and opportunities available at the University

This Web page has been developed to keep the University of Minnesota faculty and staff up-to-date with the progress of planning this campus-wide program. Please understand that the documents posted on this site are in draft form, and are updated as we continue to develop Welcome Week.
