Directions & Parking
Parking for Orientation is in the East River Road Garage, located on the East Bank of the Minneapolis Campus. When at Orientation, you will receive a parking voucher, which will allow you to park in the East River Road Garage for $6 per day.

Driving to the East Bank & East River Road Garage
Heading east on 94
Take the U of M/Huron Boulevard exit (235B). At the first stoplight, turn left onto Fulton Street S.E. Drive four blocks, crossing over Oak Street, to the stop sign intersecting East River Park-way. Turn right onto the parkway. Just past the Variety Club Research Center, take the first right (public parking) into the garage.
Heading west on 94
Take the U of M/Huron Boulevard exit (235B). At the first stoplight, turn left onto Fulton Street S.E. Drive four blocks, crossing over Oak Street, to the stop sign intersecting East River Park-way. Turn right onto the parkway. Just past the Variety Club Research Center, take the first right (public parking) into the garage.
Heading north on 35W
Take 94 Eastbound. Shortly thereafter, take the U of M/Huron Boulevard exit (235B). At the first stoplight, turn left onto Fulton Street S.E. Drive four blocks, crossing over Oak Street, to the stop sign intersecting East River Park-way. Turn right onto the parkway. Just past the Variety Club Research Center, take the first right (public parking) into the garage.
Heading south on 35W
Take the Hwy 280 South to 94 West. Take the U of M/Huron Boulevard exit (235B). At the first stoplight, turn left onto Fulton Street S.E. Drive four blocks, crossing over Oak Street, to the stop sign intersecting East River Park-way. Turn right onto the parkway. Just past the Variety Club Research Center, take the first right (public parking) into the garage.
Parking Note: Ample parking and easy access to the elevators can be found on the lower parking levels E, F and G.

Leaving Campus
To 35W heading north
Upon exiting the East River Road Garage, turn left and follow East River Parkway. Turn left onto Fulton Street S.E. Proceed east and turn right on Huron Boulevard and follow the signs for 94 eastbound. Once heading east on 94, take 280 (left exit) to 35W north.
To 35W heading south
Upon exiting the East River Road Garage, turn left and follow East River Parkway. Turn left onto Fulton Street S.E. Proceed east and turn right on Huron Boulevard and follow the signs for 94. Head west on 94 to 35W south.
To 94
Upon exiting the East River Road Garage, turn left and follow East River Parkway. Turn left onto Fulton Street S.E. Proceed east and turn right on Huron Boulevard and follow the signs for 94.
Traveling from MSP International Airport to the University of Minnesota
Students can find public transportation at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport's Ground Transportation Center. Use taxis and shuttle services that have the name of the company clearly marked, and whose drivers are willing to give you an estimate of the cost to take you to your destination.
Super Shuttle service is available from the airport for approximately $15. Taxi service is also available for approximately $30 to the University of Minnesota. After claiming your luggage, you can find both the shuttle and taxi service by following the signs to the Ground Transportation Center. The signs will take you through the tram tunnel one floor below the baggage claim. When you reach the transportation center an airport agent will be there to assist you. The Shuttle operates 24 hours a day every day of the week. If you have more than 3 pieces of luggage you will be charged an extra fee.
Light Rail service and city buses are also available from the airport to downtown Minneapolis at the Metro Transit website.
